A funeral vehicle is a special purpose motor vehicle designed for the transportation of funerals. For this need, any vehicle can be converted into a funeral vehicle by making appropriate modifications.

• Project Process

According to the regulation, modifications can be made by adding the equipment required for the funeral transport vehicle to the vehicle. However, overhead lights cannot be installed on these vehicles.

Before starting the renovation process, the company to be renovated and the A.İ.T.M. authorized technical responsible mechanical engineer should make the necessary negotiations on dimensions, weight and other equipment.

• Modification and Approval Process

The completed vehicle is inspected by the TSE Vehicle Control Center (ECC) located anywhere in Turkey. The project prepared by the authorized mechanical engineer is approved by the TSE Vehicle Project Directorate.

• Inspection and Registration

 The vehicle is inspected at TÜV stations and registration procedures are carried out by the authorized registration institution (Notary Public).
